Diesel's Creative Director Glenn Martens Explores The Lines Between Dream And Reality

During Milan Fashion Week, a short film created by artist and director Frank Lebon debuts the brand's Spring/Summer 2022 co-ed collection. With the introduction of new creative director Glenn Martens, a new chapter in the Diesel story begins. The visual opens with rising model Ella Snyder at a party wearing a white tee and jeans as the short film unfolds in a familiar setting with a skewed aesthetic—a debate between reality and dream.

Belts woven through clothing to keep tops and dresses in place are a highlight. Multi-pocket denim pants with integrated cowboy-style boots, are constructed from deadstock Diesel textiles. The house's history is further explored through a collection of blazers, shirts, and trousers, as well as tights with denim.

“Diesel is about successful living, controlling your life, being fun, ironic, and it's also about a touch of sexiness,” Martens told WWD Diesel collection's creative drive and inspiration.

Denim, which has always played an important role in Diesel's history, is presented in an energizing style for both men and women's wardrobes, with an all-gender approach. New designs, inventive methods, finishing, and washing are all examples of the Italian brand's ongoing innovation.
