DAISY World Looks Back Fondly On New Single ‘so it goes’

LA-based artist DAISY World releases her second release of the year, ‘so it goes’, an emotive and raw offering that showcases the depth of her vocal ability.

On ‘so it goes’ DAISY World gets involved with the production of the track alongside Albert Jairo Gordon as they create a space to revel in intense emotion.

Acoustic guitars, layered with a groovy baseline provide a warm and comforting feel. Gentle synths are playing long drawn-out notes before a break, followed by smooth expressive jazz via saxophone.

We find the soul songstress reflecting on a previous relationship she cannot help but express the yearning in her tone as she addresses a past love interest.

Mournful, at times and others searching for accountability, however, she acknowledges the effect the relationship has had on her. She sings “Loving you is so damn hard it’s crazy but you changed me and it shows.”

On the new single, Daisy said: "'so it goes' is a celebratory obituary of a chaotically intense and extremely beautiful & impactful relationship that i had. the love, the anger, the grief all wrapped into one song. & being able to easily walk away smiling and grateful for what it was, instead of fighting for what it could have been."

The track comes off of her unnamed debut solo album and follows up pop-infused "ur soggy". The upcoming project will explore themes of love and growth in the same transparency.
