D DOUBLE E Returns With Sensual New Single “Ghetto Love Story”

East London rap royalty D Double E returns with his new single ‘Ghetto Love Story’, as the rapper explores his latest romantic experience with a nonchalant cadence and flow.

The track was produced by the TenBillion Dreams, and signals a new direction in the themes that the East Londoner speaks on as he opts to be more vulnerable and honest.

It’s a lean away from his normal energetic and intense approach spitting on Jungle, Grime and UKG instrumentals and showcasing his versatility. As he raps over the downtempo beat with darkening tones composed from elongated drawn-out synth strings, 808 drums and deep baselines that uniquely tap into the sounds of Grime you cannot help but appreciate the clarity he provides. Whilst the majority of the track is D Double E serenading his love interest there are moments where he confides in her. He raps, “Keep this between me and you/ I have lost a loved one too but what can we do? We just have to pull through.”

The accompanying music video, co-directed by Femi Oyeniran & Nicky Slim Ting Walker explores a thrilling love story between the rapper and his love interest. The east Londoner has also announced two headline shows, one in London at KOKO on the 24th of November and the other in Paris at Bellevilloise two days later.
