Converse Plays With Chuck DNA In A New Trio Of Silhouettes

In a constant research for innovation, Converse is launching three new silhouettes that experiment in forward-looking designs while still retaining the DNA of the original Chuck: the Chuck 70 AT-CX, Run Star Legacy and Chuck Lugged 2.0 CC HI. Embracing comfort and utility, each style is bold, practical and dynamic.

The outdoor-inspired Chuck 70 AT-CX pays homage to the original Chuck 70 in the upper while also raising its profile, using CX foam to provide lightweight comfort while maintaining a bold attitude. The shoe features a toecap inspired by the Bosey MC and a diamond pattern outsole, optimizing the traction and making this style adaptable to seasonal changes. Stylists Lewis Munro and Charlotte Moss have also expressed the spirit of the classic Chuck 70 AT-CX in shots that highlight the evolution of the new generation’s Chuck Taylor.

The Run Star Legacy CX, instead, draws inspiration from the Run Star Hike and Run Star Motion, with a sculpted midsole in the centrepiece. The shoe features an exaggerated rubber design and distorted pinstripe alongside a magnified heel bumper that stands out in a crowd and ensures easier on-off wearability. With a modern canvas upper, comfort is maximised through its CX foam midsole and sock liner

Lastly, the Chuck Lugged 2.0 CC X Hi is the latest addition to the Lugged family, evolved into a silhouette that enhances style and utility by offering additional water resistance and expression. Rubber and woven fabrics are layered to facilitate wearability, while the reinforced leather collar provides extra protection at the ankle. The silhouette also presents a waterproof upper, fleece lining, a rubber sole, industrial hardware and hiking-inspired laces that add a touch of style.

To bring to life this year’s collection, Converse has launched a campaign inviting its All Star community and the extended Converse family to showcase their style expressions. Personalities involved include rapper, singer and producer, Channel Tres, singer-songwriter Indigo De Souza, R&B artist and creative, Rasharn Powell, R&B singer-songwriter Shah Frank, Brockton-MA based rapper Luke Bar$, and Toronto-based director Iris Kim.

The Chuck 70 AT-CX is available globally exclusively at Converse.com and select retailers, while the Run Star Legacy CX and Lugged 2.0 CC X HI will be available early this Fall.
