Birmingham-born songstress Clementine Douglas follows up her debut single with “Slippin”. ‘Slippin’ explores the realisation of dealing with your own dissatisfaction, and the need for more when you meet your original aims.

There is joy in giving yourself grace and celebrating the milestones of life. And relatable, we have all been in danger of wanting to move on too quickly. Clementine finds peace in finally deciding to enjoy the moment.

The track is pushed forward by an upbeat piano-based production that is supported by expressive bass rifts and expressive breakbeat elements that compliments it, and provide space for Clemetine's soulful vocals.

Speaking on the track, she says, "Sonically Slippin’ has elements of all the kinds of music I love the soul, breakbeat and rnb. It’s about what I recently discovered is called the ‘arrival fallacy’ that thing where you feel like you’ll be content when you achieve a certain thing or whatever and then you get there and it’s not it!

This songs about the realisation of that and a mantra to myself to let go of expectations and enjoy the moment as it comes.

She is also set to go on her debut headline live tour that starts in Birmingham on October 19th and finishes in Glasgow on the 27th. In between here will also be shows in Brighton on October 23rd, London 24th and Manchester 25th.
