West London’s own CLEM has just released her latest single, "Remember Me," a deeply personal track that resonates with themes of love, loss, and healing. “‘Remember Me’ is such a special song to me because it touches on a perspective I never thought I'd have,” CLEM shares. “When you’re healing from a big loss, it’s always hard to imagine a time when you can look back at the memories and feel peace rather than grief. It’s essentially about accepting that sometimes people aren’t meant to be in your life forever, and that’s okay. There is peace in knowing that love is beautiful even if it’s just passing through.”

‘The Art of Letting Go’ delves into CLEM’s personal experiences, artfully navigating the themes of love, loss, healing, and growth.

Drawing from a rich musical background, CLEM’s sound is a fusion of intimate, soul-baring lyrics set against dark, jazzy chords. Her influences are eclectic, ranging from the soulful echoes of Amy Winehouse’s "Back to Black" record to the indie and lo-fi discoveries she found on SoundCloud during her teenage years.

CLEM’s musical journey began at 14 when she received her first guitar. Despite initial scepticism from her parents, she taught herself to play using YouTube tutorials, quickly falling in love with the instrument. Her self-taught style is unique; she plays by ear, creating rich, interesting chords that form the foundation of her sound. This approach extends to her preference for the warm tone of nylon string guitars, a choice that began out of necessity but has since become a defining characteristic of her music (she’s named her electric guitar ‘Nyla’).

Hailing from Greenford in West London, the 24-year-old artist’s music transcends genres, drawing subtle influences from Alt R&B, Jazz, and Soul to create a soundscape uniquely her own. CLEM’s music is characterised by its soothing, intimate atmosphere and profound lyrical content, making her a distinctive voice in today’s music scene.

"Remember Me" is now available on all major streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more from CLEM as she prepares to release ‘The Art of Letting Go,’ an EP that promises to be a deeply moving exploration of love and personal growth.
