Effortlessly weaving between soul and poetry, Cyan Blue arrives as an emotional release that strengthens her as a vocalist and storyteller. With an impressive roster of collaborators ranging from BADBADNOTGOOD, Amaarae, Syd and Daniel Caesar in her earlier days, Charlotte Day Wilson adds yet another R&B powerhouse to the list, Snoh Aalegra. At its core, Cyan Blue is a healing power-form of R&B. With Wilson's velvet vocals gliding effortlessly over plump production, tracks like 'My Way' and the confessional 'I Don't Love You' offer solace in their simplicity, while her collaboration with Snoh Aalegra adds an extra layer of depth.

Whilst Cyan Blue is only her second album release, she made her mark in 2016 with the popular CDW. She has also gotten exqusite co-signs over the years including being sampled by Drake, John Mayer and James Blake. Flexing her adaptability, she has also collaborated with Kaytranada and SG Lewis to tap more into her dance side.

Speaking on the album, Charlotte Day Wilson mentions: “I want to look through the unjaded eyes of my younger self again,” Wilson explains of making Cyan Blue. “Before there wasn’t as much baggage, before so much life was lived. But I also wish that my younger self could see where I am now. It would be nice to be able to impart some of the wisdom and clarity that I have now onto her.”

Cyan Blue feels refreshingly genuine. With the title taken from the colour of her eyes, Cyan Blue is a reminder of the power of music to soothe the soul and lift the spirit as well as to ponder on the finer details in life.
