BaggE Unveils Brand New EP 'Without Armour'

Hailing from North London, neo-soul songstress BaggE revealed her highly anticipated EP Without Armour today that speaks on abandoning the ego, alongside bubbling 80s sonics. Presenting itself at only four tracks, this alluring EP is a fresh chapter for BaggE. Recorded in collaboration with the S.T.A.F.F collective, BaggE has allowed us to sink into how her mind works musically as she brings forth nostalgia with a modern and futuristic twist.

Speaking on the release of Without Armour, BaggE says: “Without Armour is about putting down the armour we all tend to carry around with us to hide and protect ourselves from a world that, at times, can be so rough. It’s about letting your inner child breathe. It’s a record that gives listeners to feel vulnerable and to speak on their true emotions. I’ve shaped the music in a way that allows people the space to feel authentically themselves”.

Breaking out into the scene in 2019 with her independent release and debut EP Preserving The Prior, BaggE was welcomed with open arms into the UK neo-soul and R&B community. On a mission to "bring jazz, soul and funk music back to the charts”, BaggE conveys her emotions best through her passion for the pen with tracks that cemented her place in the scene such as her 2020 EP What About Summer which was a collaborative project with Tyegreen and featuring Osquello and Danny Sanchez. From releasing three singles within the final months of 2022 and in the run up to the release of Without Armour, BaggE has evoked excitement and joy through her first release of the year.
