Aya Nakamura Releases Highly Anticipated New Album "DNK"

French-Malian superstar Aya Nakamura has just released her eagerly awaited new album "DNK'" featuring the likes of up-and-coming rappers Tiakola & SDM, as well as well-known West Indian Zouk vocalist Kim.

"DNK" follows 2018 album "NAKAMURA", the most streamed francophone album of all time. In anticipation of the release of her new body of work Aya released R&B-Afrobeat fusion single 'Baby' followed by a Y2k-esque accompanying video.

Her distinctive lyrical approach, which combines the usage of Parisian jargon, Arabic, and Bambara, the Malian language of her parents, is on display throughout the album. She also offers a new perspective on Afrobeat, Pop, and R&B while remaining firmly entrenched in the Caribbean dance rhythms of Zouk.

Aya Nakamura just ended 2022 on a high note by becoming the most streamed Francophone female musician in the globe for the fifth year in a row, earning her the title of "One of the most important acts in Europe now, musically and socially" by The New York Times. Aya's repertoire includes more than five #1 songs and more than 19 Top 10 singles, including 'Djadja,' which has received over 1 billion streams, the TikTok viral smash 'Copines,' and her most recent #1 single, 'Dégaine.'
