Avoiding Their Problems Samm Henshaw And Kirby Decide To Let It 'Fade'

Struggling to confront their personal problems in a relationship singer-songwriter Samm Henshaw shares his latest single 'Fade’, featuring Memphis singer KIRBY.

Samm celebrates a decade of releasing music, having worked closely with his management team, Ian Henry and Jackie Davidson at JD Management, from the very beginning.

And it's fair to say in that time Samm Henshaw has risen to prominence in the soul scene, joining the distinct and timeless Kirby, both known for their deeply felt music that blends the aforementioned genre with gospel and R&B influences.

After working closely together in the studio, they have crafted Samm’s newest single the timeless ‘Fade’ which is made up of a groovy bassline, drums, a whining guitar and sampled harmonies that create a yearning mood.

Rather than avoiding the problem instead of confrontation it, ‘Fade’ is a song that embodies the notion that ignorance is bliss, however, not before long the cracks and fissures in the relationship start to show and they are faced with the hurt of staying in something that was once beautiful.

It’s a tragic but tender duet as the pair soulfully sing expressing a frustrated but melancholic mood with heartfelt lyrism, their voices sink into each other at times providing a rawness and weary ache. In other moments, Kirby’s crispness caresses Samms' velveteen tone.

Kirby captivates with an array of eloquently delivered metaphors that showcase her ability as a songwriter in a warm crackling tone that soothes tension.  the Memphis artist sings “Pardon me for being Frank but I got an ocean over folks”

The accompanying video gives you the impression that you are on the outside looking into an intense therapy session. A  blue notepad makes an appearance, hinting at what’s to come.
