Arz Returns With Introspective Single 'Long Time No See'

A clever play on words ‘Long Time No See’ a tongue in cheek nod that it’s been a year and a debut album since we’ve heard from The 20-year-old Arz but his latest single is an unloading of conflicting emotions as Arz sifts through a past romantic relationship with honesty and introspection.

Produced by fellow artist and producer El Londo, the delicately crafted beat is composed from downtempoed melancholic piano melodies and soulful sampled vocals that provide an airy and emotive feel.

Sitting with his memories he takes accountability on his part in the breaking up in the relationship, the distance caused by his musical success and fondly looks back at their time together with nostalgia.

Speaking about the track Arz says, “I linked up with my good bro El Londo for this one to talk about how long it’s been since certain people, places & behaviors. I wrote this at the end of last year in the midst of a lot of change.

When Londo played me the original sample in the booth I immediately thought it was DUMB. The melody allowed me to easily talk about how I felt. This is the first track from the fresh set of music I’ve got coming & I’m more than gassed to say the least. LONG TIME NO SEE.”

The accompanying music video, directed by KWIM, featuring ARZ follows a non-linear narrative that explores the difficulty of making time in a relationship, but also the sweet moments.

Proving to be able to create sensuous worlds from lo-fi beats and soulful samples, Arz has always had the ability to be able to explore the complexities of love through his own experiences but now has refined it.
