Arz Returns With His Latest Single ‘Lickback’ Featuring Laicostina

Exploring the modern dating scene Arz returns with his latest single ‘Lickback’ as he continues the momentum created from his string of singles in the build up to his mixtape.

Catching his love interest out in a lie, the East London rapper refuses to circle back and make amends, rather the London born rapper speak about the pitfalls when young in love in this relatable situation of ambiguity.

A relatable experience, there is no clear outcome rather, the second Arz verse is delivered from the perspective of the love interest who’s been on the receiving end of Arz’s earlier response.

Dishonesty and disloyalty are recurring themes in the track as Arz charismatically drifts seamlessly over a textured lo-fi beat produced by MADEINPARRIS and JD. Soulful. The beat, made up of guitar melodies taps into the intimate lyricism and sonics of Laicostina’s smooth melodic R&B approach.

The accompanying video is shot in black and white, and places Arz and Laicostina in a confrontation with their love interests.

Speaking about the track ” The 20-year-old  says, “On this track me and bro touch on revenge. Everyone’s got this mindset of if I get done dirty I’m going to do it back. So we approached the song like we had just completed our Lickback.”
