Art Partner Launches Open Call for #CreateCOP29 Submissions in Support of Climate Justice

Art Partner, a leading global creative agency, has announced an open call for its annual #CreateCOP29 contest, inviting artists to submit works that raise awareness around climate justice ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2024 (COP29). The initiative aims to inspire creative discourse on climate issues, urging youth voices worldwide to bring forward innovative perspectives on the climate emergency.

CreateCOP29 is open to artists aged 14 to 30 of all backgrounds, nationalities, and creative disciplines. Art Partner encourages submissions across a diverse array of media, including photography, documentary and experimental film, performance art, spoken word, music, fashion design, new media, and social media projects. The goal is to amplify a broad range of perspectives on climate-related topics such as biodiversity, corporate greenwashing, wildlife conservation, grassroots activism, intersectional environmentalism, and more.

Artists are encouraged to explore various climate-related issues, including:

  • Biodiversity and wildlife conservation

  • Corporate greenwashing

  • Intersectional environmentalism

  • Plastic waste and pollution

  • Material innovation and regenerative practices

  • Climate justice and grassroots activism

  • The psychological and physical impacts of the climate crisis

  • Indigenous and nature-based wisdom

Applications are open on createcophub.com through October 31, 2024. Eight finalists will receive cash prizes of $10,000, $5,000, or $2,000, and an additional 20 artists will receive honorable mentions. This year’s submissions will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of judges, including:
