Aqyila Talks All Things Love In Her New Single - 'Bloom'

Toronto-based Aqyila graced our ears with the release of long-awaited track 'Bloom' last week, just in time for Valentine's Day. With themes of romance, this song paints a picture of a lover baring their heart as they speak of a love that is freeing.

Aqyila's delicate, feather like vocals cling effortlessly to the beat which makes for a blissful listening experience. Not only that, this track showcases her lyrical ability with a catchy chorus that will certainly linger in your mind after listening.

Aqyila speaks fondly of the track saying: "It's a love song that reminds you why you love the person you're with. Why they're your safe space on your hardest days. Writing this song just gave me chills, it instantly felt special. I see it as a wedding song."

It is evident that Aqyila is making rapid progress in the R&B scene as she has received nominations for the 2024 JUNO Awards in Canada for Contemporary R&B recording of the year and Traditional R&B/Soul recording of the year. To add, her debut EP (For The Better) continues to maintain a strong presence across streaming platforms.

'Bloom' has done incredibly well on TikTok as the sound had already been used by over 283.5K creators prior to its release. With the song currently sitting at over 800K streams on Spotify alone, it is certainly set to be a success.
