CRTZ RTW Restores The Feeling With Their Nike Air Max 95s Campaign.

Walid Labri re-imagines global panic for the Corteiz RTW x Air Max 95 campaign. The film opens with RULES THE WORLD reporters breaking the news in France, England, Korea and Japan. The comedic film’s emblematic music, cinematography, and talent bring back to life the classic sneaker. Corteiz’s district voice bleeds into the advert. Scenes vary from the 95s’ disrupting the stock market, fuelling street fights over the last pairs and a bidding war in which they fetch upwards of £110,000.

The viewer too is plunged into momentary madness. Rising Star Phil Foden takes the stage, recreating Ronaldinho‘s crossbar challenge from the 2005 Nike ad. Clint419, the founder, is seen at the 95s sneaker auction grinning as bids skyrocket. We then take a quick detour into the brilliant mind of an eccentric sneakerhead. Cameos are scattered throughout the film from media staples Fonejacker and Joga TV and singer Jorja Smith, who plays a jaded call centre worker. Corteiz skilfully brings together the places and faces that represent London’s colourful characters.

The Timeless sneaker is translated into three styles and three camouflage patterns. Sleek and modernised. The Alcatraz logo sits nicely on the hood, stark against the muted colour palette. The ‘lundun’ blueprint replaces the ‘110’ on the leather.

By combining the classic Air Max 95s with modern streetwear and music culture, Nike and Corteiz have created a product that speaks to the current moment while honouring the brand's rich history. The Corteiz RTW advert showcases the Air Max 95s in a new light, highlighting the sneaker's versatility and timelessness.
