A$AP Rocky Officially Releases 'Tailor Swif' Accompanied with Crazy Visuals

Rocky seemingly either paid homage to Taylor Swift or takes a playful jab at her in his new single accompanied by a music video that captures insanely over-dramatic situations that only Rocky could find himself in. “I’m too swift, don’t tell Taylor ’bout this shit."

The single came as a surprise to fans who had been anticipating the release of Rocky’s 4th studio album, DON'T BE DUMB on August 30th, which has now been pushed back until sometime in Autumn. Rocky has gone on the record to say "leaks and sample clearances" have been "disrupting" the release of his new music and are the main reason why fans haven't seen a full body of work from him since his 2018 album, TESTING. Fans can see this song as a throwaway, as Rocky has been known to leave previously leaked songs off his projects. Tailor Swif has been seemingly circulating on the internet ever since he perfumed it back at Rolling Loud Portugal in 2022.

Rocky wrote on X formerly twitter ahead of the release, along with a snippet of the music video.

“SINCE U DUMMIES LEAKED IT ALREADY."

The video was directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, who have worked on videos with the likes of Coldplay and Dua Lipa in the past and filmed in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2021, two months before the Russian invasion began. The video depicts Rocky in completely surrealist scenarios all the way from being in the back sat of car with a dog driving to him onlooking while someone parashoots in from the sky and crashes his party.

After popularizing the traditional garment worn typically by elder women specifically in Eastern Europe and releasing hits like 'Babushka boi', A$AP Rocky now finds himself once again circling back to Europe. His recent admiration for the Eastern European environment and lifestyle, gives us room to speculate what artists and sounds we might hear on the newest body of work set to release in the coming weeks.
